ABOUT

Born and raised in Twente, Elske began her musical journey at an early age, developing into a multi-instrumentalist skilled in piano, drums, and guitar. Yet singing has always been her greatest passion — one that brought her early recognition, winning prizes at several regional talent competitions.

She has opened for Di-rect and Tim Akkerman, and appeared in De Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland (The Netherlands’ Best Singer-Songwriter). She also won an internal talent competition at supermarket chain Albert Heijn, which led to 40,000 copies sold and a six weeks notation in the Dutch-language Top 40. As singer and co-writer of the song Running, made together with producer Jens East, Elske reached over 1 million streams on Spotify. She now writes her own work in both Dutch and English — including Left of Me, Stay With Me, and Nooit Genoeg. She occasionally releases a cover album of her own, and is currently working on her Dutch-language debut album. She produces her own music herself, and writes and produces for other projects, such as children’s songs on commission, including Dari de Draak – Taekwondo!

With a broad and versatile repertoire of covers on piano and guitar, Elske is also a live artist at weddings, corporate events, funerals, and other special occasions.
